Karma: A bitch or not?

I say not.
People believe karma is some transactional voodoo that exists that one can simply do something good and that they'll do good stuff. Um, but what about the bad stuff? *sigh*
Let's get one thing straight, karma isn't voodoo or even a bitch, the word literally translates to "actions." I am sure we all have come across Newton's third law which states that "Every action has an equal and opposite reaction" which is exactly how karma works (Now, this is what I've understood).
Your actions will have a consequence, and that is what is karma. Yes, you doing good might help you out but the belief that you'll get richer and shift to some private island because you helped the unprivileged is a joke. There, I said it. Honey, you want to get rich? Work for it. Do you want to achieve your goals? Work hard in that direction. Very recently, I read a book - Karma: A yogi's guide to creating your destiny by Sadhguru (get it here) This book kinda changed my life and my views towards everything. Almost everything you have achieved in your life, the beliefs you have, and the identity you have self-constructed is on you. Nobody else is responsible for your life. You are the only person who sits in the driver's seat. You can literally change your life, right now. Take a turn, choose a different road hell a different destination, who's going to stop you?
We are all afraid of taking that leap of faith because we are so used to being in our comfort zone, but we forget that nothing worth having comes from being in that tiny little pop-able bubble. I've seen people going from the best to their worst and I've also seen the ones who came from nothing and built an empire of their own. I've been screaming about how you are in control of your life and blah blah blah but of course, there'll be a point wherein you'll ask "But why do I have to be in control of my life?"; well 'cause if you don't, somebody else will take the steering wheel, and then oops! no place for you to complain.
Howsoever your life may turn out to be, it'll be on you and that's how it should be. I am not a big fan of should-be's and would-be's but this is something that is indispensable. Oh and btw FYI, you are only and only responsible for your own karma, not somebody elses' then be it good or be it bad or be it whatever adjective you wish to use. You simply cannot put yourself in somebody else's shoes and work out their karma because then what will happen to your own individual karma?
Not until very recently, I listened to Taylor Swift's new album, midnights in which she released a song named as 'Karma.' People might've not refrained from joking around about how funny the lyrics are but the actuality is very deep. Karma’s often compared to credit that you owe. Taylor did a perfect job describing karma's real meaning through this song (universe, bless her).
What's the final verdict?
Karma is not a bitch. I mean fascinating things and happiness is in store for you if you do good deeds with good intent i.e. good karma. But, when you give out negative energy i.e. bad karma you'll get exactly the same kind of energy (like a payback).
