Delulu may not be the solulu.

Boy, it's going to be a long one.

Recently there has been a very specific Gen-Z trend that has taken the internet by storm. I am sure you must have heard the “Delulu is the Solulu” one. Initially, I was totally pro on how awesome it is that we are finally learning to manifest our reality but somehow intrigued by how misunderstood the whole concept of being delusional is and how absurdly it’s being portrayed.

After reading I believe more than 3 books on manifestation, and personally practicing it, I firmly assure you that being delusional is the solution, if and only if there is some action backing it. I’ve been manifesting for a long time and the notion that one can simply be delusional and it’ll bring them things is just clearly going to make Jack a dull boy, lazy actually. Let me break this whole chaotic mess into tiny understandable chunks for you.

Being delusional means having a false belief. I know what you are thinking, “we’ve been tricked into thinking we should have fake beliefs? Are you kidding me? This is what the whole delulu thing is?” Um, not really. So when somebody says staying delusional is the only solution, it means having blatant faith in the fact that you can have something you want and that might come true. Which again is certainly amazing but here's a major catch - facing and accepting your reality.

Humans have an innate tendency to criticize themself in the most brutally honest way; therefore, when we think we want something or even we set an easily achievable goal, generally, an average human naturally feels underconfident to achieve the given set goals; thus, one needs to fake confidence at some point and trick themselves into thinking that maybe it is achievable. Therefore it’s less about having a false belief and more about trusting yourself enough that you can achieve what you want.

Now personally, it is super cool that we are encouraging everyone to achieve their goals but it’s creating a false awareness. It has resulted in people believing that by just thinking you can achieve your goals and as much as I would love to believe (and I did at some point), it's not quite possible. I think of checking off everything on my to-do list every single day but it doesn't magically tick itself off. I make an effort to complete most of it if not all, and I've accepted my reality that it's just not humanly possible to do everything in a day.

I mean, Rome wasn't built in a day. It's less about being delusional and being more open to taking a chance, being confident, having faith in yourself, and not shying away from taking the necessary actions to achieve your set goals. Your thoughts must align with your actions, and if they are not then there is something wrong in the process.

The error doesn’t lie in the original idea but in the multiple interpretations of the idea. People have created their versions in their heads which I won’t say is wrong but it’s not entirely right either because the idea in itself is very philosophical and spiritual, and it takes time to reach there.

As someone who is a firm believer in spirituality, there are some days when I don’t feel like doing certain things in order to go where I want to go but that doesn’t mean I am not serious about my life. I am only insaan (human as in). Also, you can achieve those said goals because anything is possible but you can’t let loose of reality. You need to have a little bit of faith in your wild imagination to turn it into reality. The path may differ, but the destination can stay the same.

Moreover, manifestation means different to everyone. There are different sets of processes to manifest, but one thing to its core stays the same –– have faith and take the necessary actions.
